My interview with Jamie Johnston. Enjoy!
~Note~ This interview was before Degrassi Takes Manhattan premiered.
1) While you worked with Charlotte Arnold and Mike Lobel in Zixx: Level One, were they just co-stars or did you become friends?
JJ: Both Charlotte and Mike were guests for and episode and we reconnected again on Degrassi.
2) Like the last question, did you become friends with Aislinn Paul while shooting Wild Card?
JJ: Aislinn and I tutored together as well as playing sibilings, but she was quite a few years younger and we didn't hang out off set.
3) Could you talk about your childhood a little bit?
JJ: Pretty normal, sports, cottaging, school, family holidays, stuff like that.
4) How was your experience in Kenya? Would it be somewhere you would go again?
JJ: It was very eye-opening and made me not take the simple things for granted. I encourage anyone to go if they have the means and opportunity. We are extremely fortunate in North America.
5) When you got into playing music, did you ever want to be a rockstar instead of an actor?
JJ: I love them both equally and hope to make them both work.
6) You have said that you like soccer, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Which would you say is your favorite?
JJ: Hmm, if I had to choose, I guess soccer.
Now some Degrassi questions.
7) Of the Degrassi cast, who would you say you are most close to?
JJ: My bandmates - Dalmar, Ray, Scott, and Shane
8) Can you explain where you were and how you reacted when you found out you got the part of Peter Stone?
JJ: I was at school and my mom called me. We were shocked because I had just auditioned for a guest spot and didn't expect to be offered a regular role.
9) Before you were on Degrassi, did you watch it when you were younger?
JJ: No. I hardly ever watch TV to be honest.
10) I am guessing that the new Degrassi movie has finished filming. Did you have fun filming in New York and not the normal set?
JJ: I didn't go to New York in fact Peter isn't in the movie much at all.
11) Final question, where do you see yourself in about five to seven years?
JJ: I'm not a planner but I imagine I'll still be acting and playing music but up a few notches.
THANKS AGAIN JAMIE!
